We offer two semesters per year, a spring semester and a fall semester.  Our current semester is taking place January 15th, 2012 to June 15th, 2012 and our fall semester will run from July 20th, 2012 to December 20, 2012. Our spring 2013 semester dates are January 20, 2013 - June 20, 2013.

At the Intensive Arabic Semester our students take part in a variety of courses both inside and outside the classroom. Class takes place five days a week, with a morning session and an afternoon session. There are four official course subjects that we offer in our program: Arabic Language, Hebrew Language, Jewish Studies, and Middle East History/Current Events. Arabic is taught by three professors, and covers both formal standard Arabic and Palestinian colloquial Arabic.

In addition to our classroom courses, our students go on field trips throughout the region to understand on a firsthand basis the issues facing local communities here in Israel. Our students also volunteer once a week at a local Arab school to give back to the community and to improve their Arabic. We believe that our program offers a holistic and hands on approach to language learning, which is unparalleled in other programs. We believe that when studying abroad it is important to experience the local culture as much as possible. Learning inside and outside the classroom, our students get a firsthand and personal understanding of the many cultures that make up Israeli society.
